Creating Life

Pregnancy has been such an amazingly beautiful, empowering journey for me. These past nine months I have learned a lot about myself and am continually inspired by the incredible creation of Life taking place within me. I feel so blessed that my experience has been wonderful and am so excited to meet our sweet baby girl any day now. These are a few of my favorite images chronicling my journey into motherhood.

North Shore Swim Series | Hana Hou! Magazine

I love swimming in the open ocean. It is my absolute favorite pastime, exhilarating and meditative, flowing with the currents and waves in the sea I always feel completely present and alive in the moment. For the past four years I have been swimming in the North Shore Swim Series races, ranging from 1 miles to 2.3 miles along the gorgeous golden coastline of Oahu's beautiful North Shore, it is the best way to experience the vast open ocean, alongside 600+ swimmers. Last year I had the awesome opportunity to both swim and photograph the races for Hana Hou! The Magazine of Hawaiian Airlines. Check it out in the current issue of Hana Hou! and if you're on the island, come swim or watch one of the races this summer!

Here I am about to jump in the water for the first race this summer, 5+ months pregnant with my baby girl. It's been such a joy being able to swim in the ocean, while our baby swims along inside me :)

Mist House | Hana Hou! Magazine

The Mist House at the National Tropical Botanical Garden on Kauai is filled with some of the world’s rarest plants, endemic to the high-elevation cloud forests of Hawaii. It was fascinating exploring the foggy greenhouse with David Boucher for Hana Hou! Magazine.
