Meditation

And read quotes from last night's lecture by Philosopher/Artist Robert Irwin...

"How can you confine everything you see, feel, touch, and hear in a frame?"

"We as human beings actively form the world- it is malleable."

"If I am thinking it, that means it's thinkable."

"Art is art and everything else is everything else."

The stunning hand paintings of Guido Daniele. What a quirky, wonderful way to perceive the world. He sees potential in the simplest of things.. our little hands.. and creates some of the most unique interpretations of the animal kingdom I have ever seen.

The Trash Seeker. a.k.a. Matt Mallams, my partner in crime. He sees the beauty in rubbish. Finding a weathered billboard is poetry to his eyes and with this trash he creates mind-bending, awe-inspiring art throughout his journals. Check it out... www.mattmallams.com

Amy Stein's 'Domesticated' series gives a surreal insight into the conflicting lifestyles of humans versus the wild. It is an amazing body of work.

Rainy Days

The Gods spring-cleaned today. Moist spirits were brought to the town to renew our dry hearts. Water droplets scattered across my freckled face and drenched my hair. The ocean roared at the barren beach. A stray purple flower laid wearily on the gravel, covered in a perfect spherical crown of rain. Dark shadows of tree limbs contrasted the dismal sky as a lone blackbird quietly waited for the dead of night.

Rainy days rejuvenate my soul.
