Swimming with Sharks

I got to swim with sharks the other day! It was amazing, they are such beautiful, powerful creatures, so graceful and curious gliding through the deep blue sea. As a swimmer, I've always been scared of sharks but this was an incredibly peaceful affirming experience I am thankful to have had. I can't wait to dive in with these guys again!

The cage with the first set of bait ;) for the friendly Galapago, Sandbar and Reeftip sharks we met during our North Shore Shark Adventure.

My sister, Marika, watches her newborn son, Benton Robert Bertram, in the NICU on his week anniversary. Coming into this world as a 23 week micro-preemie he is truly a miracle and every moment with him is a blessing.
