Above the Clouds ~ Haleakalā

It's like Mars up there. Above the clouds, 10,000 feet above sea level, at the summit of Haleakalā on Maui.

Flat Stanley

Matt got a letter in the mail this week from his cousin's 1st grade daughter Mikhaila. She had the fun assignment to send a cut-out paper doll to someone in the world, have that person document the dude's adventures, and send him back to share with the rest of the class. So we decked our Flat Stanley out with some local Hawaiian duds, a grass skirt, an aloha shirt, slippahs and even an ukulele. Took him to the beaches of Oahu, a volcano on Maui, and even swimming in our pool :)

The Road to Hana

The road to Hana is gorgeous, the rainforest is lush, waterfalls are everywhere, and the windy road wraps around steep cliff sides so with every turn Maui's verdant natural beauty awaits.
